All edges have a double-stitched rolled hem, and the end channels are triple-stitched for extra strength. All THC hammocks come assembled with 7/64″ Amsteel continuous loops to attach to your suspension. Even with the robust construction, THC 11′ Backwoods hammocks still only weigh 11.5oz with the included stuff sack. That’s 7.5oz less than a comparable hammock from leading manufacturers.

Care

Hammocks can be washed on a delicate cycle in a washing machine. Hang to dry.

FAQ

Are the tarps and hammocks made of a waterproof material?

The tarps are made of a water-proof, silicone-coated polyester. We recommend all tarp seams be sealed by the consumer. Silicone Seam Sealant.

The hammocks are not waterproof but have a DWR (durable water repellent) coating to make them water-resistant, that helps light spills/water bead up for easy, quick brush-off.

How close do the trees have to be to set-up a tarp or hammock?

I have several cottage-manufacturer hammocks, and this one is my favorite for overnights where bugs aren’t a problem, and for lounging on day hikes. The fabric is soft, and it’s easy to find comfortable positions. Definitely packs the smallest too. Highly recommended.
