The Stratus Cloud Cover is the newest quilt in our line of technical trail quilts that are built from .9oz ripstop nylon and filled with 850fp down. Like their namesake, the Stratus Cloud Cover is a mid-layer quilt that fits between the Cirrus and Cumulus lines. It is the perfect addition to your sleep system as a supplemental quilt that can be combined with your existing quilts or used on its own in the right conditions.

The Cloud Cover is a very versatile piece of gear. It can be used as a top quilt, with the optional suspension- an underquilt, and by utilizing the snaps and drawstrings, it can be used as a poncho.

Stratus quilts are stuffed to 120% fill capacity based on industry standard fill power/ loft temperature ratings. While this doesn’t change the temperature rating, it does help keep the down from shifting in the quilts channels.

The Stratus Cloud Cover is designed to be the thickness of your average down puffy jacket. It lofts to 1″ and is comfortable as a quilt to around 60ºF. Temperature comfort is definitely a subjective quality based on the user. This quilt is designed as a supplemental piece of gear to your other quilt sets. All that aside, this is my favorite piece of gear to use in the theater room, traveling on a plane, or in a hotel room!

The Stratus Cloud Cover measures 75″x55″ and weighs in at 12oz with its included stuff sack. Packed, it is 9″x5″.
